LSU Health New Orleans’ Human Development Center (HDC) is partnering with Clara’s Little Lambs on a Community Health Information and Resource Fair, Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Clara’s Little Lambs Federal City, 775 Hunley Lane in New Orleans.
Besides helping to organize the event, LSU Health HDC will be doing developmental screenings and helping desensitize the children prior to getting their shots – transforming the kids into “nurses” and “doctors” who can prep and give baby dolls “shots” using toy syringes and then put stickers on the dolls’ arms.
Entertainment activities include a bouncy house as well as arts and crafts. Snacks and refreshments will be served.While supplies last, families who get vaccinated will receive a gift card, and everyone who receives a vaccine will be entered in a Turkey Giveaway Raffle.
