Offerings include free COVID-19 vaccines, free flu shots, free dental screenings, school registration assistance and information about Louisiana’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (LA-CHIP) and for first-time homebuyers.

Besides helping to organize the event, LSU Health HDC will be doing developmental screenings and helping desensitize the children prior to getting their shots – transforming the kids into “nurses” and “doctors” who can prep and give baby dolls “shots” using toy syringes and then put stickers on the dolls’ arms.

Entertainment activities include a bouncy house as well as arts and crafts. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

While supplies last, families who get vaccinated will receive a gift card, and everyone who receives a vaccine will be entered in a Turkey Giveaway Raffle.
